AC Milan Whack AC Monza 3-0 At The San Siro As Simic Stuns On Debut
Briefly

Milan started with some big changes as Tommaso Pobega played as a centre back in a 3-man defence and Theo Hernandez and Alessandro Florenzi flanked the midfield. The game started off great as Tijjani Reijnders wiggled his way through Monza's defence and toe poked a shot through the keeper's legs in just the 2nd minute given us the early advantage. Tommaso Pobega was pulled off with an injury after just 25 minutes. The highlight was Jan Carlo Simic getting his debut at the San Siro with the crowd chanting his name and scoring his first-ever goal in front of the Curva Sid. The centre back bundled home a shot after Rafael Leao squared in a late ball. This will be a day to remember for him as he slotted in perfectly in the defence and looked solid all game. Noah Okafor had a wild ride as he came off the bench and scored after just 10 minutes but then got injured 5 minutes later and was withdrawn. Stefano Pioli will be pleased with a 3-0 win, especially over Raffaele Palladino - who is a rumoured possible replacement for him. Milan slightly cut the gap to Juventus in second and opened up the gap to fourth.
