More than a dozen Brooklyn residents lost their homes due to a two-alarm fire at 136 Sackman St. in Ocean Hill, forcing them to quickly evacuate with minimal belongings.
About 100 firefighters responded to the early morning blaze, which heavily damaged the three-story wood-framed residence, taking an hour to be put under control.
One resident mentioned having little time to grab their possessions amid the chaos, highlighting the urgency and danger they faced during the evacuation.
The FDNY Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire that caused extensive damage and forced residents to flee for their safety.
