A huge California reservoir just hit 100% of its total capacity

Lake Oroville is at 128% of its historical average, reassuring Californians with memories of the bone-dry lakebed when water levels had dropped, exposing steep cliffs.
Reservoirs across California, including Lake Casitas and Shasta Lake, are filling up significantly, with Shasta Lake at 97% of capacity but 115% of its usual average.
Those last feet are hard to fill; think of it as a funnel, the bottom is easy to fill but as the top gets bigger, it takes a lot more water, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation explained.
