The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) uncovered a Russian plot to assassinate President Zelenskiy, targeting other key officials as well. Plans included capturing and killing Zelenskiy, Ukraine's military intelligence chief, and the SBU's head, using drones and missiles.
Three FSB intelligence officers were named by the SBU, with intercepted messages referring to the attacks on Ukrainian officials as 'big bird' (missile) and 'small bird' (drone). The recovered drones, warheads, and mines led to charges of treason and terrorism against the accused Ukrainian accomplices.
