Oakland kept him on the 40-man roster for the majority of the winter but outrighted him a few weeks back to make room for the Alex Wood signing.
He spent the '23 campaign in Triple-A with the Padres, working to a 4.95 ERA over 63 2/3 frames as a long reliever.
