New York Mets reliever Brooks Raley will be out longer than anticipated, as he continues recovering from a left elbow injury. It's one of those where inflammation went down and he's still playing catch, but he's not going to be as quick as we thought it was going to be.
The issue has thrown a wrench into Raley's impressive start in 2024. He allowed just two hits across eight scoreless appearances with nine strikeouts and three walks for a 0.714 WHIP.
