Many parents in Dublin's city centre will have panicked as the grim news of the school knife attack filtered through.
It's the randomness of the attack and the realization this could have been any of our children that strikes fear into the hearts of parents everywhere.
As we ferry our children to and from creche or school, we're often so caught up in our bubble of busyness that we blithely drop them off and drive away.
