At least two Texas counties along the U.S.-Mexico border have purchased TraffiCatch technology to track Bluetooth signals from devices like cell phones, smartwatches, and car entertainment systems.
Bluetooth devices broadcast unique addresses, with some being public and static, while others are random and change regularly, making tracking more challenging for devices with random addresses.
