A PlayStation 5 Pro Is Sony's Riskiest Hardware Bet Yet
Briefly

The existence of the oft-rumored mid-console cycle refresh was confirmed by sources familiar with Sony's plans. The PS5 Pro, codenamed Trinity, will offer increased performance with a more powerful GPU, CPU, and expanded system memory, capable of higher resolutions, framerates, and ray-traced graphics.
Sony will continue to sell the original PS5 model alongside the new PS5 Pro. The new console will feature a new proprietary upscaling software called 'PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.' Sony has allowed developers to order test kits, expecting all games certified for PS5 to be forward-compatible with the console by 2024.
