The Braves acquired RHP Jimmy Herget from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations, a nice veteran depth to stash at AAA without costing any meaningful assets.
Herget had brief success in the majors with good seasons in 2021 and 2022, but declined in 2023. He relies on his breaking balls for effectiveness.
