Jeff Okudah has a chance to return early in the season after suffering a leg injury. Despite being carted off the practice field, the cornerback's MRI showed positive news, indicating that he could be back in action within a month.
Okudah has a history of injuries, having undergone surgery for a core muscle injury during his rookie season and rupturing his Achilles in the 2021 season opener. However, he had a healthy third season, starting in all 15 games and making significant contributions on defense.
In Okudah's absence, Tre Flowers filled in during practice, and the Falcons have additional cornerback depth with players like Dee Alford, Mike Hughes, and rookie Clark Phillips III. This provides some reassurance for the team in Okudah's absence. [ more ]
