A 46-year-old woman was stabbed five times by a man wielding scissors, while a 71-year-old woman was punched in the face in separate incidents in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Per latest police data, crime is slightly down in the 88th Precinct where the assaults occurred, with 256 major felonies reported, down .39% from the previous year.
