The F.A.A. opened a new investigation into Boeing after the plane maker disclosed that it might have omitted required inspections on the wings of certain 787 Dreamliners.
Boeing is reinspecting all Dreamliners in production and needs to develop a plan for aircraft already in service. The F.A.A. will take necessary actions to ensure public safety.
