The Chicago White Sox placed Danny Mendick on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Thursday, due to lower back tightness.
Mendick, 30, has a .256 batting average, one homer, and three RBIs in 10 games since his recent call-up from Triple-A Charlotte.
