Beginning in April, the cafe's owner Jerusalem's Abdulrahim 'Raheem' Harara also forged a partnership to provide a temporary storefront for former Khan Younis, Gaza-based business, Covo Coffee. 'It's a testament to what the cafe has been able to facilitate,' Harara says.
Mohammedali Alfarra founded Covo Coffee 29 years ago in 1995 and sought Arabica coffees, then roasted the beans in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Escaping Gaza post-bombing, Alfarra's dream of Covo symbolizes freedom for all of Gaza.
