High School Principal Injured in Iowa School Shooting Has Died

The principal, Dan Marburger, 56, was shot on Jan. 4 by a 17-year-old student at Perry High School, who opened fire at the school in the early morning as students were returning from winter break.
Mr. Marburger's death was also confirmed on a website raising funds for his family, which noted that the principal, who had served the school since 1995, had endured significant injuries on Jan. 4, putting himself in harm's way to ensure as many students and staff could safely exit the building.
