Nomo retired the first two batters faced but followed that by walking the bases loaded. He escaped the jam by striking out Royce Clayton.
Nomo finished the 1995 season with a 13-6 record, 2.54 ERA, 149 ERA+ and 1.06 WHIP, was named an All-Star and won the National League Rookie of the Year Award.
Over seven seasons with the Dodgers, Nomo went 81-66 with a 3.74 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.
