This legendary London stadium is getting a massive 62 million makeover
Briefly

Lord's cricket ground in London, known as the 'home of cricket,' is investing £61.8 million to renovate its Tavern and Allen stands, adding an extra tier to each, increasing the capacity by 1,100 seats, and improving catering and accessibility.
The Tavern stand will feature a new top designed by WilkinsonEyre, inspired by traditional slip cradles. Plans were approved in April by the Marylebone Cricket Club, with construction scheduled to start in September and completion by 2027, halting construction during the 2025 and 2026 cricket seasons.
