Neighbors and passing drivers alerted sleeping firefighters to the blaze, who then fought it with garden hoses and help from other stations, losing a fair amount of the station in the fire.
L.A. County Fire Department classified the blaze as a two-alarm fire, with no injuries reported. The cause will be investigated by an outside agency, likely Cal Fire, as resources will be provided for rebuilding.
