"This is an idea I came up with three years ago. It's important for me to champion it all of these years because small business is the backbone of our community," said Commissioner Daniela Jean.
"We want to provide [business owners] with resources and grant information so that they can create generational wealth," she said. "We provide equity as it relates to education. That's the key for business owners of color to leverage their business if they have information."
