The Colorado Avalanche staved off elimination with a 5-3 victory over the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center. Cale Makar scored twice and Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen each had a goal and an assist.
Alexander Georgiev made 23 saves for the Avalanche, who won for the second time in Dallas. Joe Pavelski, Miro Heiskanen and Logan Stankoven scored for the Stars.
