Betnijah Laney-Hamilton quickly became an integral part of the New York Liberty, being named to the All-Star team in her first season and contributing to the team's success in reaching the W.N.B.A. finals in 2021.
Despite her success on the court, Laney-Hamilton admits she hasn't fully embraced all aspects of life in New York, like not taking the subway. She has deep roots in Brooklyn, where she frequently spends time with family, including her 2-year-old niece who visits from Delaware.
