ABC7 New York reported the New York Police Department identified 50-year-old Clifton Williams as the suspect earlier this week.
Buscemi was struck in the face while strolling through the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan on May 8th, treated for bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye.
Buscemi's publicist stated, 'Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city... He is ok and appreciates everyone's well wishes.'
Buscemi is set to play Barry Dort in Season 2 of Netflix's Wednesday, currently in production in Ireland.
