1999 Yankees Diary, May 4: Twins tally 17 hits off Yankee pitching
Briefly

The Yankees offense came out uncharacteristically flat, especially at the top and bottom of the lineup. When the pitching doesn't help, it's hard to win games, especially on the road.
Twins' starter Mike Lincoln outlasted the New York starter, Ramiro Mendoza, allowing only two runs and four hits in six innings, with five strikeouts.
