Ian Thomas Cleary, accused of sexual assault in 2013 and sending a disturbing message, was arrested in France after being sought since 2021, detained in Metz for possession of stolen goods.
Cleary told French police that he had been in France for the past 2-3 years; it remains uncertain when he might be extradited to the U.S. as he can be detained for up to 60 days.
