The Xbox app on Windows is getting even more handheld-friendly
Briefly

Microsoft is adding a new 'Jump back in' feature where you can quickly launch recently played games on a Windows handheld. It lists up to nine games on the main screen of the Xbox app, allowing you to launch a game directly with the controller's menu button.
The update also introduces improvements to the friends panel, making it easier to access with a handheld or controller. Quick access to a slide-out friends list from the sidebar includes big buttons to join party chats.
Despite enhancements, navigating the Xbox app on a ROG Ally without touching the screen can still be challenging. Difficulties arise when trying to access the sidebar if not at the top of the page, highlighting remaining areas for improvement.
Microsoft acknowledges the need for further enhancement of the handheld experience in Windows. Early improvements are beneficial for PC Game Pass subscribers with Windows handhelds, hinting at a future focus on controller navigation throughout the OS.
